Who we are
Who runs this catalogue, under what name, and where every claim on this page can be checked independently.
A site that sells prescription medicines should be able to say who is behind it in one screen, without a maze of trading names. This is that screen.
The legal entity
The catalogue and this website belong to the Studio di Psicologia, Psicoterapia e Sessuologia del Dr. Biserni Andrea, a sole practice registered in Italy, at Via Pian di Guido 6, 52036 Pieve Santo Stefano, province of Arezzo, under Italian VAT number IT01830230510. Correspondence reaches a person at [email protected], by telephone or WhatsApp on +39 347 445 4271. There is no call centre, no ticket number and no overseas office: the same practice that sees patients in Pieve Santo Stefano, Sansepolcro, Città di Castello and Umbertide runs this part of the site. It answers Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 19:00 Italian time, and not at weekends: an email sent on Saturday is read on Monday, which is worth knowing before an order is left waiting on a reply.
Prices are quoted in US dollars and the pharmacy pages are written in English because that is the readership they serve. That is a commercial fact about the catalogue, not a claim to be based anywhere other than Italy.
The clinician, and how to check him
Dr. Andrea Biserni is a psychologist and psychotherapist with a four-year specialisation in Person-Centred Psychotherapy from the Istituto dell’Approccio Centrato sulla Persona — the institute founded by Carl Rogers — and a further four years of training in clinical sexology at the Istituto Internazionale di Sessuologia in Florence and the CIS school in Bologna, run under the scientific direction of the sexology service of the University of Bologna’s psychology department. His first degree, a five-year specialist degree in clinical and community psychology, is from La Sapienza in Rome. He has been in independent practice since 2004 and spent four years of clinical work in the public health service at USL 8 Arezzo while specialising.
None of that has to be taken on trust. He is registered with the Ordine degli Psicologi della Toscana under number 3572, section A, and on the same order’s register of psychotherapists. Search his surname in the national register of Italian psychologists kept by the national council, or contact the regional order directly at ordinepsicologitoscana.it. Anyone practising psychology in Italy without that registration is committing an offence, which is exactly why the register is public. The full list of qualifications is set out on his training page, in Italian.
What he is, and what he is not
He is not a physician and not a pharmacist. He cannot write a prescription and does not. What his training covers is the clinical side of what this catalogue treats: erectile difficulty, premature ejaculation, loss of desire, the sexual side effects of antidepressants, anxiety and panic, depression. That is the material he reads before it is published, and the reason the product pages talk about what a tablet does not fix as readily as what it does.
The drug facts themselves — strengths, dosing, contraindications, interactions — are not his opinion and are not written from memory. They are taken from the labelling approved by the regulators, and how we source our information sets out exactly which documents and how to read them yourself.
The prescription check, stated plainly
Every prescription-only order is held until a pharmacist has read the prescription and matched it to the product, the strength and the quantity, as described on the prescription service page. What this site does not currently publish is that pharmacist’s name and registration number. We would rather say so here than let the word “pharmacist” do silent work: if you want the registration details before you order a prescription-only medicine — and that is a reasonable thing to want — ask by email and you will be given the number and the register in which to check it. Nothing is dispatched while that question is open.
Two checks do not depend on us at all, and they are the ones worth running on any site that sells prescription medicine, this one included. The FDA keeps a state-by-state route into the boards of pharmacy licence databases, where a dispensing pharmacy and the pharmacist registered to it can be looked up by anyone in a minute; the campaign behind it is BeSafeRx. The National Association of Boards of Pharmacy publishes its own list of accredited digital pharmacies: accreditation there is open to pharmacies licensed in a US state, which an Italian practice is not, and the list is worth knowing about anyway because it is the quickest way to test any site that claims it holds one. The three things the FDA tells you to insist on — a prescription demanded every time, a physical address and telephone number that reach a person, and a pharmacist who will answer a question before you pay — are exactly what the paragraph above describes, and they are what to hold us to.
Things this service does not do
- It does not issue prescriptions, and no questionnaire on this site stands in for one.
- It does not release a prescription-only medicine on a tick-box declaration, a photograph of a packet, or a promise to send the paperwork later.
- It does not give clinical advice by email. A written reply can tell you what a pack contains; it cannot tell you whether you should take it.
- It does not substitute a different strength or a different molecule for the one prescribed because the order would otherwise fail.
- It does not run subscriptions, auto-renewals, or recurring charges of any kind, and it does not sell or share customer lists.
If something goes wrong
Start with the email address above: most problems are an order detail and are fixed the same day. Beyond that, the routes are external and do not depend on our goodwill. A suspected side effect from a medicine should be reported to FDA MedWatch or, in Italy, to AIFA — see medicine safety, and report it to us as well so the page can be checked. A complaint about professional conduct goes to the Ordine degli Psicologi della Toscana, Via Panciatichi 38/5, 50127 Florence. A complaint about personal data goes to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante, at garanteprivacy.it. Orders, payments and cancellations are governed by the terms of sale.
